Electrical Inspector
An opportunity now exists for a qualified electrician to expand into a senior position within the marine industry. You will be responsible for inspecting extra low and low voltage installations in recreational and commercial vessels up to 50 metres with some design assistance and auditing the designs of others. You need to be familiar with International and Australian Standards and relevant legislation for electrical safety.

At least 2 years (5 years preferred) post qualification experience is essential, along with knowledge of relevant standards and regulations for the marine industry. You must have good written and verbal communication skills, be well presented and service orientated with a good level of computer literacy and the ability to assist other surveyors and builders. You must be capable of meeting requirements for accreditation with Maritime Safety Queensland as an electrical designer and surveyor and familiar with the Queensland Electrical Safety Act 2002.

You must be a team player but capable of working independently and controlling other staff. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well respected and expanding specialist team of marine consultants based on the Gold Coast with work predominately in Queensland with some overseas work required. Position available for a graduate naval architect to work in our office handling;
Design compliance certification for commercial vessels up to 50 metres
